Denise Bohart - fused glass artist
Denise and I met at my Into the West solo show in Steamboat, CO in early 2024. We connected right away - talking about the practice of creating art, what inspires us in life and the journey to Motherhood. Recently, Hazel and I attended Converging Visions at D’Art gallery in the Santa Fe Art District to see her kiln fused glass installations. They are truly beautiful. Up close, every subtle variation in the glass catches the light and rewards careful looking revealing extraordinary sensitivity to light and texture. Most of her wall hanging compositions can be arranged to fit the space and vision of the collector...which I hope to become someday soon!

Spring in Northern New Mexico - I make efforts to drive to New Mexico at least once a year to practice plein air paintings and connect to the muse. My most recent trip was educational and inspirational as I spent time at Ghost Ranch reading, hiking, sketching, and painting. I have so many paintings in my mind that I hope to find the time and space to paint in the coming months.
